It really is beautiful in Colorado.
We slept a quick night at a very nice rest stop just inside of Kansas. It even had free RV services.
We stopped for a few hours at the Dwight Eisenhower museum and home. It's the best presidential museum we've ever been to. President Eisenhower took our country through an incredibly difficult time in our history: the end of WWII, the atom bomb, the rise in power of the Soviet Union, and Sputnik, among many others. He also started the US freeway system--by far the most expensive thing humankind has ever done.

It rained, And rained. And rained. Fortunately, the floods didn't come up, but we thought they might by the amount of water that came down! The rain followed us all the way into Missouri, where it rained nonstop the entire night.
One "benefit" of the rain is we found the small cracks in the RV's plastic skylight. We had to put a tarp over it for a couple days while the repair tape came from Amazon to our Missouri campground. Fortunately, it didn't do too much damage to the inside.

Uncle Burt loves to pick up interesting and strange friends along the way.
