5,000 Miles in 5 Weeks

Our oldest is graduating high school and heading to college. Did we do enough as parents? Did she learn enough? Is she ready?

We've asked these questions many times in the last few years. In response to these questions about our oldest and the rest of our children, we're headed this summer across the country on a Church/American history tour. 

Here's the plan:

 

Start at Eagle Mountain, then:

1. Denver (spend the 4th of July with Jake and Emma)
2. Independence, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Far West, Liberty Jail, Temple walk, etc.
3. Evansville (Erin & Jonathan live here)
4. Kirtland Temple and surrounding sites
5. Philadelphia (American history)
6. New York (Just for fun, plus a little history)
7. Boston (American history)
8. Palmyra Temple, Sacred Grove, and surrounding sites
9. Niagra Falls, then to a shortcut through Canada
10. Nauvoo
11. Winter Quarters
